National Wild Turkey Federation Fund-Raising Efforts

DEXTER - Your local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is holding 2 raffles to help raise money to benefit wild turkeys, their habitat and the hunting hertitage in our local area. The first raffle has 2 prizes:
1st Prize- $900 value Red Stag hunt for the Fall of 2006, donated by Grove Hill Hunt Park in Ripley
2nd Prize- $249 value Ruger 10-22 Youth rifle sponsored by Mountain's Sporting Goods in Dover
Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10

Only 250 tickets to be sold - tickets can be purchased from a Tri-County NWTF officer before 6/29/06 and the drawing will be June 30, 2006.

The second raffle is a Statewide raffle with only 1500 tickets being sold, with a drawing of Oct. 2006

Prizes: 20 $600 L.L.Bean Gift Certificates. Twenty different winners will be going on a $600 shopping spree @ L.L.Bean!
Tickets are $20 each, so for $20 you will have 20 chances to win a $600 L.L.Bean Gift Certificate!

Please stop by our booth in Dexter during Wild West Weekend Aug.4, 5 & 6, we will be set up in front of Tillson's True Value Hardware. We will be giving away magazines and other wildlife info. We will also be giving away 100+ JAKES (Juniors Aquiring Knowledge Ethics & Sportsmanship) memberships to any kid who wants to sign up. The membership includes a year's subscription to the NWTF's JAKES magazine for kids.

The Tri-County NWTF will hold their Annual JAKE'S Day event on Saturday, September 23rd. The event will take place at the Big Pine Gun Club in Guilford. All children are welcome to attend. This event helps educate young people on hunting ethics, handling of guns, bows, etc. There will be competitions and prizes will be received. Contact any Tri-County NWTF officer for more information or if you would like to help out with this event.
